Why is Finance so difficult?
New Concepts and Terminology
Finance introduces concepts and terminology not covered in high school. The newness of the subject matter means there is no prior knowledge to build on, which can make the initial learning curve steep and overwhelming.
Test-Heavy Grading System
Over 50% of student’s grade come from Tests & Quizzes. Understanding the material alone is not enough; students must also be able to apply their knowledge effectively under exam conditions.
Pre-requisite Course
Finance is required to unlock next semester’s courses. Falling behind can set you back an entire semester for graduation. Many students drop the class and unknowingly fall behind in their degree plan as a results, adding pressure to perform.
